Odumak Battery
Battery health and charge cycles through wireless debugging. No computer needed
Odumak Battery is an Android app that shows a device's battery health (SoH) and charge cycles. It reads the values by connecting directly to the device's own wireless debugging, so no computer or cable is needed; it is free, with no ads or account, and the information it reads does not leave the device.
What's New · v1.4.2
This version brings the following changes.
- Tap Update on a new version notice to download it in the app. It is applied when you restart.
- Choose from three design themes (Crystal cell, Hologram, Water pillar) in Settings > Display.
- New 3D battery home screen, drawn on the GPU on Android 13+. When not charging, motion stops after 8 seconds.
- The BS Planet apps screen is now a catalog.
- No ads. Health, grade, charge cycles and evidence values are shown right away.
- Fixed words breaking mid-word with large text.
Note — Odumak Battery is distributed by Google Play. Installation and updates happen there; this site carries only the description and the Play link.

Odumak Battery
Odumak Battery is an Android app developed by BS Planet that shows battery health (state of health, SoH) and charge cycles. Battery health can be read only with the BATTERY_STATS permission, which regular apps are not granted, or with shell access; regular apps can read charge cycles only on Android 14 or later and only when the device fills in the Android cycle counter. The app reads these values by connecting directly to the device's own wireless debugging, so no computer or cable is needed. The adb protocol, pairing and the TLS connection are implemented inside the app, and the connection is limited to the same device (the loopback address). It is free, with no ads, in-app purchases or account.
Features
- Battery health: the maximum capacity the battery can hold now, as a percentage of the design capacity of a new battery. It is graded Excellent at 90% or more, Good at 80% or more, Fair at 70% or more and Consider checking below 70%. Samsung devices show both ASOC and BSOH, and the indicator used as the main value is chosen in Settings
- Charge cycles: read from the Android cycle counter or converted from Samsung's total discharge, with the source of the value shown. When the device records them, the first-use date and the manufacture date decoded from Samsung's LLB MAN value are shown as well
- Design themes: Crystal cell, Hologram or Water pillar is chosen in Settings > Display and combines with the light and dark themes. The battery home screen is a different 3D scene for each theme; liquid (light layer) height shows the charge, and the lost-capacity zone and a 100-tick floor scale show health. Scenes are drawn with GPU shaders on Android 13 and later and as a still image with the same layout on Android 11 and 12. Motion runs for 8 seconds after the screen opens or is tapped, at 30 fps while charging, and stops in power saving mode and when animations are turned off
- Charging: speed (slow, normal or fast), power, current and time to full, refreshed every 2 seconds while charging. Wireless charging is shown separately
- Battery use by app and processes: battery use by app since the last full charge (an estimate from Android's battery statistics), today's screen time by app and running processes sorted by CPU and memory. These are opt-in; usage data is processed only on the device and is not stored
- Make your battery last: ten practices on charge limits, sleep protection, temperature, fast charging, wireless charging and long-term storage, explained with figures and sources. On supported devices the matching settings screen (for example Samsung Battery protection) opens directly
- Device information: chipset (system on a chip, SoC), cores and live clocks per CPU cluster, memory, storage use by category, Android version and codename, manufacturer UI, security patch, Google Play system update, Project Treble, A/B updates, SELinux, display and GPU, thermal status, and sensors with live values
- Raw data: the original dumpsys, batterystats, getprop and /proc output used for the readings, shown as is and ready to copy
- Update notice: a new version on Google Play is announced once. Tapping Update downloads it inside the app while the app stays in use, and it is applied on restart. The notice can be turned off in Settings
Without a wireless debugging connection the app still shows the battery level, temperature, voltage, charging status and device information.
Connection
- The connection guide opens the settings screen for each step (Developer options, Wireless debugging, pairing) and highlights the item to tap on supported devices
- Pairing uses split screen to show Wireless debugging and the code field together. After pairing the app reconnects automatically. Android revokes wireless pairing approval 7 days after pairing (default), so the app shows the deadline and prompts to pair again when less than a day remains
- Some banking and payment apps may restrict use while Wireless debugging is on. After measuring, it is turned off with the app's button (on devices where it cannot be turned off directly, the settings screen opens) and turned on again for the next measurement. Turning it back on within the approval period reconnects without pairing
- Shell commands are limited to reading battery and device information, granting the app itself the BATTERY_STATS permission, and turning off wireless debugging when the user taps the off button. The app runs no command that changes other apps or device settings, and none that turns wireless debugging on
Data and privacy
Battery and device information read by the app is processed only on the device and is not sent off it. The app contains no ads or analytics tools (ads were removed in version 1.3.0) and needs no account. Internet access is not required; checking for and downloading new versions is handled by Google Play. Details are governed by the published privacy policy.
Requirements
Android 11 or later, a Wi-Fi connection (no internet access needed) and Wireless debugging in Developer options. The values shown are reference values recorded by the manufacturer and Android and do not replace official diagnostics; some devices do not provide some values. The interface is available in five languages: Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
