Notice of revision to the CrystalEngine Terms of Service
2026-10-28
Thank you for using CrystalEngine. BS Planet revises the CrystalEngine Terms of Service as set out below. Because some changes may be unfavourable to users, this notice is given 30 days before the effective date.
Schedule
| Item | Date |
|---|---|
| Notice date | 28 October 2026 |
| Effective date | 27 November 2026 |
Main changes
- Revenue model (Articles 3 and 4): The free trial lasts 14 days from the first launch and needs no payment method. After the trial the app continues with a lifetime purchase or a 3-month pass (prepaid, no automatic renewal). The 1-day ad pass is not offered in the current version. This part is the revision of 3 November 2026 and is carried into this version.
- Damage caused by errors and the liability cap (Article 15): Software may contain errors, so data loss, file damage and resulting indirect damage caused by a program error are borne by the user. Backups are the user's responsibility; the company provides a confirmation dialog before deletion and a 30-day trash as safeguards. Where the company is liable, compensation is capped at the purchase price actually paid for the paid product concerned. The cap does not apply to intent or gross negligence of the company or to liability mandated by law.
- Notice on machine-generated results (Article 14, paragraph 2): Ad classification and diagnosis of messages, voice transcription, text recognition and face counting in photos are machine-made reference information, and their accuracy is not guaranteed.
- Keeping paid features available (Article 3): The company keeps paid features available for the purchased period of a 3-month pass, and for as long as the company provides the software to the purchasing account for a lifetime purchase. If that is not possible, the company refunds the remaining period under applicable law through Google Play.
- Error fixes and replies to enquiries (Article 15, paragraph 1): The company makes reasonable efforts to fix errors it learns of within a reasonable period and replies to enquiries and error reports. This is not a guarantee that the software is error-free or that a fix arrives by a given date. If the software is found not to behave as stated on screen, in the store listing, the terms or the privacy policy, the company corrects it without delay.
- Third-party rights (Article 9): The company complies with the licence terms of open-source and other third-party works included in the software and acts on reports of infringement.
For users
- The Privacy Policy and the Purchase and Refund Notice have also been updated to match the current behaviour of the app.
- If you do not agree to the revised terms, you can end your use at any time by stopping use of the software and deleting it (Articles 13 and 16).
